NOTICE
Please note that this package might flag up on your antivirus software. A lot of antivirus programs are overly cautious and this is a common issue for a lot of third-party software. For the sake of transparency all of my code and modifications are detailed in a public GitHub repository which you're welcome to look over. The most common false positive seems to be Locale Emulator, which is an open-source program you can view here. Please message me here on ModDB or on the White Day community discord if you have any further concerns.

I love White Day (2001). It was ahead of its time and I think it deserves more recognition. Although a remake was released in 2017, the original White Day is a different experience. In many ways I think it's creepier with its strange presentation and retro atmosphere. My goal with this project is to create the definitive version of the game while remaining faithful to the original experience.
Be warned that despite my efforts this game can still be buggy. I do my best to mitigate compatibility issues and bugs, but some of the problems we experience now are the same as back then. Unfortunately no one other than Sonnori has full access to all of the game's underlying code, and it will likely remain that way.
Nevertheless, feel free to let me know what works and what doesn't. I may be able to do something.
By the way, if you want to play White Day in the original, unmodified Korean, you can do that with this package as well. Just go to the custom launcher (wdlaunch.exe) and select Korean.
If you want the most authentic experience, I also recommend playing the game in a 4:3 aspect ratio! (This means a resolution like 1280x960 or 1440x1080). This is because White Day was designed with square monitors in mind, and doesn't handle widescreen too well.
Finally, please bear in mind that this is a side project for me, and I'm only one person, so work is slow. Thanks for your patience.
